I feel a bit weird sharing this, like a humble brag about a small collection of baubles. But I figured I would share about my collection of Blood Milk Jewels. I’ve been obsessed for awhile and I believe that I acquired my first piece in the fall of 2012. Her semi-annual sale coinciding with my post-collegiate job that wasn’t temping.
I am officially back to being seriously blonde.
I’m giving Draco Malfoy a run for his money.
I could cosplay as a hipster Daenerys Targaryen.
In another life (15 or so years ago) I was still basking in being naturally very blonde. Come puberty or so, my hair began its rapid shift to… dishwater. And then, for a long time, my hair was all sorts of colors. As in, most of my friends have never seen my natural hair color. And until recently, I wasn’t even entirely sure* what it was.
Last week, I posted an infographic about the ladies name dropped in Lumberjanes.
This week, I’m supplying the mix Duncan gives Madison in Black Mask Studios’ We Can Never Go Home. I’m pretty sure I got everything, there might be a song missing from Side A, but I got what I could. Trying to figure out what “In My Head” by T.S.O.L. was a pain, so I’m just going to assume that it’s right.
“Terms of Psychic Warfare” and “Bigmouth Strikes Again” might be two of the best songs to include for this series, at least two issues in. And I got a kick out of “Out of Step” following “Attitude”.
Setlist and trailer for the series below the cut!
Today I’m picking out decking for my dad, getting my roots done (emoji prayer hands, seriously) and heading to the Philly Ren Faire. Where I will hopefully see Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson, who plays Gregor “The Mountain” Clegane on Game of Thrones. He’s huge, though and I imagine sort of hard to miss. Anyway, here are some weekend links:

I’ve been debating canceling my Ipsy subscription for awhile now. While I generally like and use 3 of the 4 or 5 products I feel so wasteful holding onto products that I don’t (or will never use) and having more makeup makes than I would ever use. But instead of canceling, I re-took the quiz and this month came out pretty great.

One of the comics I have on my pull list and absolutely adore (especially as a former Girl Scout and summer camper) is Lumberjanes.
Sarah, from The Comic Book Shop, once wondered out loud if anyone had ever compiled a list of the famous ladies name-dropped through the comics. So a month (plus) later, I decided pull out issues 1-9, do some research and make a quick infographic. Check it out below the cut!
I’ve been on the Internet long enough that I’ve had about a million usernames. This isn’t my first blog by a long shot. I used to blog under the name Dishguts. It’s a reference from Undeclared, and when I was in college it made perfect sense. It was enough weird to raise some eyebrows without being too out there.
